Duality

Looking up at you, your highlighted by the setting sun, And in an instant, I see your duality, The light and the dark Two wolves that coexist in you, that are you One white as snow, now marred by the curse that has started to spread One black as the void, reflecting the darkness that now consumes. One's eyes that are blue as the sky, the other, red as blood. Laying in your lap, looking up The sense of calm and the feeling of belonging Floods my being. Safe, loved, protected Never the hero that would sacrifice one to save the world. But the villain that would sacrifice the world to save the one. A father, A husband, A Friend, An enemy, A teacher. A protector. That duality calms me One who has embraced themselves Who helps me embrace my duality Someone who is bright and light And in the same instant is the void Who can be full of emotion Or void of it Rational and irrational On this hill top, with the great oak behind us As the sun sets Here in this moment Together in a place

Silver blue eyes looked up and watched bloody feathers dot the surface. The red became diluted then was gone, but still more feather and then full wings fell. Suddenly a body fell crashed and sunk in to her depths. Anger coursed through her as she rose out of the water. Her body formed form water its self but her eyes were crystal clear and unchanging.
